Nobody on the board yet. Hit the beat to grow.
Some zones play recordings of real instruments: piano, upright bass, vibraphone, sitar, strings and more. Turn this off to hear the game's own made-up versions instead.
Play to the beat in your head. No grades, your size drifts back to normal, and you're left off the scoreboard.
Shows you when to tap. Ring: a white ring closes in and touches your shape on each beat. Lane: notes slide to a line, like O2Jam (big marks are beats, small ones are halfway between).
Full: all 10 sounds and Melody. Compact: Kick, Snare, Hi-hat and Melody in one row. Hidden: just the floor (tap ♪ to bring them back).
Bluetooth headphones play sound late, so your taps can be judged late too. Tune once per pair of headphones.
Learns from your taps. If they keep landing a little early or late, the game allows for it.
Holds each tap from another player until the next beat, so lag can't knock it off-beat. You hear them a moment later.
Labelled bots wander the zones and tap along, so the floor is never empty. They never vote or score.
All the music is made live in your browser. Piano recordings: Salamander Grand Piano by Alexander Holm, CC BY 3.0. Other instrument recordings: Fluid R3 GM by Frank Wen, CC BY 3.0.
